The donations center will walk the user through 3 separate steps of data input. This 3-step process has been designed to ensure that a donor can quickly and easily donate to a school and or activity.
- Enter Personal Profile Information: This section will include both optional and required fields including, but not limited to: first and last name (as it appears on the credit card), billing address, city, state, zip, email, daytime phone, evening phone, organization, choose a matching funds company, social security number (optional), and password. A user will be prompted to fill out at least the required fields. The email address entered will be designated as the username for the profile information. Choosing a password will enable the user to log into their account in the future. Additional fields can be added to this area at no additional charge as per the request of your Public School System. jetCHEX gathers and stores additional profile information such as credit card number, expiration date. The customize DS Contributions is flexible enough to expand to accept other forms of payments such as debit cards and electronic checks.
- Designate the Donation Recipient: The specific school, and or, activity to which the user wishes to donate will be chosen. A simple, easy to use drop down box will allow quick selection. There is no limit to the number of schools or activities that can be chosen. A dollar amount field will appear next to each selection. *The names of the schools and activities that appear will be managed by the Administration as described below.
- Process the Donation: Once a user has filled out their profile information and has chosen the recipient and donation amount, they will be prompted to submit. There are no minimum or maximum dollar amounts allowed for donations. Donations will be entered in US dollars and cents. A confirmation page will appear for verification. Upon verification, the data will be inserted into the database and the user will be directed to jetCHEX's Payment Gateway for processing of the donation. The user will be able to print a receipt of their donation. The receipt design is described in further detail below.
Final Processing:
- The donation will be updated as paid and recorded in the database once it has successfully been gone through jetCHEX's Payment Gateway, which authorizes the credit card payment and processes check payments. The individual donor will also have the option of setting up their own recurring transactions from their individual account for a total automated process!
- An email will be sent to an administrator notifying them that a donation was made. The administrator has the option to turn off this feature in the event they feel there exist too many email notifications.
- An email is sent to the user as a confirmation that their donation information was received and payment was made. This page will also have a link to a printer friendly version of the receipt.
- All of the donation information, with the exception of the credit card information will be stored in a secure database, and will be accessible from the accounting department area of your site.
